Q&A for Readers and One Act

A Q & A will happen at the conclusion and completion of both productions in the theatre. Talkbacks allow each of us to learn and to build community. Let us begin with listening, questioning and exchanging ideas. We, Willard High School Theatre, seek a stronger and better world and want to share with you.
Each show will be approximately 30 minutes with a 15 minute intermission in between.

A tale captured by the WPA, an oral tradition of a story about how to
believe in the resourcefulness of trickery- even if you’re just a young boy.
And if Wiley, son of Mammy cannot trust himself to be clever enough, his mamma
gives him a little more courage and some help. It’s a yarn about fear, and
necessary survival in a fatherless world.

ABOUT THE SHOW
Join the Willard High School Theatre Department for Disney's Newsies the Musical. At the dawn of a new century, Jack Kelly and the newsboys of New York City take on the behemoth Pulitzer in the Newsboys strike of 1899. As Jack and his fellow newsboys journey through their life of carrying the banner the publishing company, The World, decides to raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense. With the help of a young cunning female reporter, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what is right!
Join us on November 15th & 16th at 7:30pm and Saturday the 17th at 2:00pm and 7:30pm.
