Readers/One Act

Readers Theatre:

Women and War by Jack Hilton Cunningham is a compilation of letters by wives, fiancées, workers , husbands, sons, and mothers. The twentieth century is the backdrop, excluding the lone twenty first century soldier,  for truths, burdens, and dreams. It is within the rooted relationships and the artistry of correspondence that the human narratives are unveiled along with the unlikely responsibilities created by war and service.

One Act:

“Happy thoughts” and an “awfully big adventure” is a delicious entrance to the tenderness of make believers. Perhaps you’ve forgotten the things you thought you knew and the ignorant proclamations of youth and how being lost constitutes  a moment and childhood. The stakes of battling Hook and Smee with Tiger Lily and Tink, who is no lady, are riddled with rules only Pan could create and perhaps too base for a Wendy Bird. Yet many ladies know the address and dream of flying.
